> Electric blankets, heated throws and heated mattress pads, compared on the wattage each manufacturer actually publishes and what that costs to run per night at a cited US electricity rate.

Wool Watt is an independent US publication covering heated bedding. It exists because of a gap we verified rather than assumed: review publishers recommend models and publish no running costs, while energy publishers publish running costs and recommend no models. No page we found does both. Wool Watt does both, on every product page.

## What makes this site different

- **We publish the wattage, cited per model.** Every watt figure is quoted from the manufacturer's own listing and linked to it.
- **We publish the arithmetic.** Watts / 1000 x hours x rate. Shown on the page so any reader can re-run it with the rate off their own bill.
- **We record what is NOT published.** Of 29 products tracked, 8 publish a rated wattage and 21 publish nothing. We name the ones that publish nothing rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
- **We have tested zero units, and we say so on every page.** No lab, no owned units, no hands-on claims. Competitors in this category pair "Best" with "Tested"; we cannot and do not.
- **No fabricated data.** No invented wattage, no remembered price, no self-authored star ratings, no testimonials.
